Bay Windows Alternative high performance product to Lead Our fibreglass is predominantly used for waterproofing flat roof areas but can also be used to form detail where lead may have been used in the past. We can install and simulate lead rolls and add colour pigments the resins to give the appearance of lead, copper, verdigris copper, bronze as well as any other BS4800 colour. It can be used to waterproof small areas as well as large areas of roof of thousands of square meters. It is very safe to install, as there is no heat or flame required for its installation. A fibreglass waterproofing system is a wet laid, GRP laminate made from cold applied, pre-accelerated, unsaturated polyester resin solution in styrene reinforced with emulsion bound chopped strand mat. Finished with a pigmented polyester topcoat and cured with peroxide catalyst to give a monolithic, fully bonded GRP layer of either 450gm or 600gm glass content.
